Angela Tipps, Director

The Nashville Chamber Singers was founded in 1996 to provide outstanding performance opportunities for distinguished community vocalists in the Middle Tennessee area. Described as a “sophisticated delight” by the Nashville Scene, the auditioned ensemble has performed with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra at the Ryman Auditorium and recorded for National Public Radio’s “Performance Today.”

Now in its 20th season, the group has developed a notable reputation in the performance of a varied repertoire of sacred and secular works. Many of the group’s members are highly regarded as both studio and church musicians in the area, and its ranks include several music educators as well as those with just a personal passion for music.

Under the leadership of founding director Angela Tipps, the Singers merge decades of musical experience to produce a choral sound that is arguably Nashville’s best. The Nashville Chamber Singers is a 501(c)(3) organization and welcomes your tax-deductible contribution.
